The competitive and strategic position of the United States
of America and the State of Mississippi rests on their ability to equip a highly
skilled technologically trained workforce. Research and Development, synergies
between interdependent partners and a vast investment in innovation will fuel
economic and environmental sustainability. The MS e-Center@JSU attracts and
supports research centers, institutes and laboratories dedicated to this enterprise
and encourages stakeholder investment. By centralizing key administrative, infrastructural
and support capacity, the MS e-Center@JSU allows researchers and businesses
to reinvest cost savings into their development. As the MS e-Center@JSU creates
a favorable business, research and development environment, it identifies governmental
incentives and tax breaks and philanthropic and corporate resources.
The MS e-Center@ JSU actively engages in:
• envisioning futuristic ideas and generating creative
solutions;
• networking businesses, government agencies and academic institutions
to utilize information technology for research and economic development;
• nurturing technology transfer for commercial, social and academic
purposes;
• cultivating job creation and economic development on the local, state,
national and global levels;
• fostering Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)
professional development for historically underrepresented groups; and,
• providing office, conference, professional development and operational
space.
